How'd you rate C-Y-B?

Just back from my first weekend at CYB.
Did MBR fri, the Beast sat and Tawr sun. Also whipped round to add Dreamtime onto the end of the Beast, so I think we did every bit of named single track that there is.
After 20 minutes and halfway up the first vertical climb, having done the testing first 2 sections, we were a bit concerned about what we had driven 300 miles for but fast forward an hour and we were beaming!
There are some GREAT trails there. A quality mix of rocky, techy stuff, fast flowing sections all mixed with a bit of bone crunching madness.
We loved it.
Cain, Abel, False Teeth, Pink Heifer, Hermon & then the rest of the Addams family sections. Across the other side, seven sisters, rocky horror show and the final few sections. The list goes on...
An absolute blast! Throw in a couple of crashes, massive smiles and high speeds. Happy days. If you enjoy riding a bike, how can you possibly not enjoy riding there?
OK there are some fireroad climbs and some horrible rocky ascents but what goes up must come down. I like the fact the the climbs are early on and then come the rewards.
It felt pretty natural and way out over by Hermon and the cafe we hardly saw a soul.
The other riders we did see were a good blend of people and everyone was smiling, chatting and having a ball. So, a good atmosphere too.
There do appear to be some smooth sweeping trail sections cropping up, like the one next to Slated. So who knows where it's heading?
I'm glad I went when I did but I will definitely go back (perhaps after I've visited the Stanes).
So how do I rate CYB?
Try and guess.

Cool I might have seen you there. I was at C Y B for the first time on Sat. Did the MBR and broke a rib. Loved every second of it!0

Im surprised at how many people get the name wrong. It's Tarw. Or, just call it the red bull run, most people will know what you mean.0

I can't say it, let alone spell it!0

Not been to CYB since the early 90s - I imagine it's changed a bit since then . Really must make the effort and plan a visit.
And Llandegla is only 30miles from my mums house... hmmm... looks like that's my summer sorted.0 -

How do you pronounce Tarw then?0 -

ed_arnold wrote:Hell, are we even talking about the same place here??! Coedy is AMAZING!! Great choice of different trails and very highly maintained. Epic stages like Uncle Fester, Pink Heffer and Dreamtime! Brilliant scenery and facilities. One of the few places you can go for a full-day epic and still not find everything it has to offer. What more do you want from a trail centre?

And again.
Was there a couple of months ago and did Foxy for a quick Friday afternoon jaunt (under the hour, I needed to check into the accommodation) and The Beast on Saturday. Great riding, loved the variety of it.
I understand your frustration at the end of the Foxy trail though 'cos that fireroad run in is a bit draggy after some excellent ST on the other side of the bridge.
Oh, and the start is done deliberately to make sure you understand how challenging some of the trail will be. It's an "off-putter" or "confirmation" depending on your skill set!Trail fun - Transition Bandit
Road - Wilier Izoard Centaur/Cube Agree C62 Disc
Allround - Cotic Solaris0 -
I love CYB. The Adams Family sections (and halfway cafe tea and scones) in particular.
Not done the Attack Kangaroo trail though. Sounds good. Might try that next time.0 -
And hence it was christened0
