Looking for a new 'best' jersey. Like the sportwool stuff: Rapha, ShuttVR, Torm .. any other good options? or just other recommendations?

I also like Assos stuff and their Mille jersey would be perfect .... if it didn't look like that.

(... started a similar topic last year, but hoping a new 2011 thread will throw up some new options, ta)

i've got the basic assos jersey and aren't overly impressed, it only cost 37quid though s can't compain too much. i also have 3 shutt jerseys, my 2 team jerseys from last year are very good, not afan of this years team though as itsa bit OTT with the logos. they're definatelyvery good jerseys though if there's a design you like

    Try Solo:

I really like the look of the Maxwell jersey. Suitably expensive as well.

Untouched World make some nice stuff - but very expensive. Not much different to Torm but many times the price.

    Condor also sell them.

Torm jerseys, made from sportwool are very good, nice fit and at around 50 quid decent value

I've had one of these for testing over the last couple of weeks. Haven't had time to write the review yet.

It's without doubt the best jersey I've worn. The Assos Unos have stayed in the drawer ever since.

it's snug (well mine is anyway)

i usually take a medium in castelli jerseys, but for the aero i need large

i've got the body paint in medium, as the weather was so grim when i got it i never really checked the size, it's ok, but maybe large would be a bit better, too late to send it back now!

so for sizing i'd recommend going with the same as your aero

aside from collar and pockets, it's a single piece, comfy, arm grips are very clingy, so there're no gaps at all, waist transitions to the shorts very cleanly, doesn't ride up/crease

in the recent warm weather, it wicked sweat very well, no discomfort from the arm grips

maybe no surprise, but absolutely no flapping, even at speed, no idea if i really was faster, but with no sense of fabric moving in the wind it was a bit like riding without a jersey

pockets are sewn onto the back, plenty of room, they seem to taper out a bit at the bottom, and the elasticated tops are tight enough to stop stuff coming out too easily

the zip is full length but has the dual-puller arrangement, imho a standard zip would be simpler and more robust, but i've not had any problem with it

quality is excellent, no dangling threads, very well finished, feels like it's made to last a long time
my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

wow, i just looked at the current prices, they seem to have gone up a lot!

wiggle have them for 112 in various sizes, if you sign up for their newsletter you can get a 5 quid voucher code, so almost matches ribble's price
