pull it out. and use an allen key if you need to adjust the rebound."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

couldn't it cause loss of damping oil/lower mix or worse the damper rod to come loose?Mountain: Orange Patriot FR, SubZero & Evo2LE.

nope. it is not a nut just an adjuster."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Actually nick it is the nut that sheered not the adjuster, thats fine, just the nut sheered off when tightening up0

so they have made the nut red as well.
yes i would order as new one. it could cause a leak but it does not stop the forks separating.
Make note to self look at enlarged photos.
cheaper option? make one. but that could actually cost more."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
