Mavic Cosmic Elites

Hi all,
I've been looking into some new wheels, and am feeling mavic cosmic elites. Like the 30mm rim, and strong reviews and name behind them.
But one thing, the weight.
Some people refer to these as heavy. Some places quote these as 1900g a set, other places quote these as 1770g a set... Which is it?
And in reality are these heavy? The worst thing would be getting a set and not feeling any improvement on the stock ritchey ocr wheels I have currently. Which in themselves have been a barrel of un-trueness and broken spokes...
Thanks in advance,
Matt,

current model is claimed at 1770g by mavic, different weights might be for pre-2011
mavic probably are being wishful with this weight claim, certainly they were for my carbones! but i've never weighed a wheel that was close to the maker's claim, so mavic just play the same game as others - weight excludes grease and rim strips, is for lightest freehub (usually not the shimano one), etc.
but imho mavic has a pretty good reputation - barring the hiccup a few years ago with the old r-sys, which, to their credit, they seemed to handle well - so a bit of weight in the right place can be worth it in the long run
for the price, a strong 30mm aero-ish rim from a quality maker, it seems a good dealmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0
