Trail or Race?

Hi all on this gorgeous bank holiday Monday.
I am going to step down from my racy Scott 50 Scale and was looking at a Specialized Rockhopper Pro or Whyte 809.
Would you class these as race hardtail or trail hardtails. They both have 100mm forks but more relaxed geometry than my Scott.
Does anybody have a link for the Whyte geometry?

I don't mind what they say... as long as they say its enormous

Found the Whyte 809 geometry. Head angle of 68.5 degrees and Seattube angle of 73.5 degress.I don't mind what they say... as long as they say its enormous0

The Rockhopper is not as slack as that: 70/73 angles0
