Hi all,
Got the chance to purchase a set of these wheels at the "Right Price" so was wondering if any one on here has got them or have "had" them and would like to share their opinions on them.
I would be changing from shimano RS10's to these if it helps at all with any comparisons people may have.
Thanks in advance. :D

Hi i have both and would say I like the Eastons better.Have had them both for about 3 years now and only problem I have had is one broken spoke on both the eastons and the rs10s. I have had to get the rs 10s serviced more than the eastons. I would buy eastons again but would think twice about buying rs10s again just not the same wheel set as the eastons.
Keep the chain tight all the way.

I have heard and read that they can be very difficult to change tubes and tires on, which could be a major pain if you puncture out on the road. Have you found this to be an issue with your set?
  • Just finished a C2C across the USA and rode a pair of these Easton's from mid Texas all the way to the Atlantic. Found them to be a good wheelset, tyres were a very tight fit though, echoing the comment by peddlefever re: fixing roadside punctures.

I have a pair of the 50's. there a good strong wheelset. I used them for about 500 miles fully loaded while touring in oz and they held up very well considering that isn't what they're for.. Total mileage on these wheels is approx 3k before i had them respoked with some aerospeed spokes..

I did find them hard to get a gatorskin tyre on to but now have other wheels for winter work so i use these with michelin pro 3 tyres with no mounting issues.

I have a pair of EA90's and changing tyres is really easy. I can get Vittoria's on and off without a tyre lever and i do NOT have strong fingers.

I recently put a pair on my new 'crosser (£189 iirc) and have had a broken spoke within 400 miles, maybe just unlucky?

The bike dealer fitted the Spesh Borough CX tyres but I made a point of asking whether they were tight to fit, not especially was the answer - hope not to find out myself out on the road!

Are they an upgrade over the RS10's though???
They look the dogs dangly bits ( IMO) :D
Hope they ride as good as they look!
