Hi
I'm new to road cycling having converted from mountain biking. I've been doing road riding on my mountain bike since Christmas but I've decided to get a road bike for a race at the end of June. I have a Merlin mountain bike and it's been very good. I see they also sell road bikes:

I was trying to find reviews of this on the internet but can't seem to find anything on it - it seems like a very good price for a bike with a 105 groupset. Anybody tried one of these before or have any idea if it will be decent?
Cheers

No personal experience myself but I'm pretty sure this is the bike another forum goer on nere has purchased. He seems happy with it.
Maybe pm him. It's mr_poll I'm thinking of. I've ridden with him a couple of times.0 -
Thanks Morstar I'll try pm'ing him!
Anyone else have any views on this bike?0 -

looks good,
good saddle, tyres and finishing kit
105 is more than anyone ever really needs
wheels would be my first upgrade but not untill there worn out.
i like it!!0 -
Ha - my PM mentions the wheels - Merlin were sound about swapping the rims - I upgraded to RS30's for about an extra £40 - cld of had Mavic Aksiums or Fulcrum 5's.
For me so far its excellent value for money - esp when you knock the 10% for joining their free club.0 -
Thanks for all the help guys, think I'm going to order one tomorrow0
