Boardman Pro HT 2x9 - Anyone done it?

As the chainrings are worn out on my 2010 Pro HT I was considering changing to 2x9 using a new Shimano SLX double and bash. I would be using a new SRAM 11-32 cassette that I already have.
Anybody got any tips?

I ran 2x9 for over a year, worked really well for me, I've now gone 1x9, totally sold on it. I'd recommend you go for the 11-34 cassette to ensure you retain a good spread of gears.0

Actually it seems a lot cheaper to buy a new 36t chainring and some narrow bolts. But I will also get the 11-34 cassette...0
