Got a set of 2009 Revelations on my hardtail that have decided to start leaking a fair bit of oil, i've just removed the compression damper cartridge on the drive train side; anyone know if this is serviceable? It's not leaking around the normal large seal on the thread for the unit but actually leaking around the small grey plastic piece that the compression adjustment knob fits to. So can you actually take this damper apart to replace it or does it have to be a new damper unit?

Cheers!

where on the fork was it leaking? out the top? IIRC it is just a O ring.

yes the MoCo stack can be stripped down.

download the manual for the service info.

The manual only details how to remove the two large seals at either end of the damper unit, not to disassemble the actual unit; it's basically this bit but not with remote lockout

On this picture it would be leaking out the small black hex bit on the top left of the cartridge
