Crankset removal

Hi,
I am a beginner and im working on a singlespeed project. The bike is rather old and therefore has an odd crankset :?
This is what it looks like..
How do i remove this all together?? Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

no. but with a reducer you could.

The thing is im wanting to convert it to single speed and now ive found that it has a free wheel instead of a cassette and that it has a one piece crank arm..
Any ideas on how to convert this to single speed?0 -
new wheel or redish the current one and play with the axle spacing. note the OLD will be 126 or 130mm
