Hi,
Can anyone tell me what the most "reliable" and "accurate" cycling computer is?
I have looked into Garmin's 705/800 or Bontrager's Node 2.
Any "experience" with these units?
Also, if these aren't the best bike computers, what is or are?
Thanks so much for future inputs.

The vast majority of cycling computers are "accurate" and "reliable". What "makes" you "think" they wouldn't "be"?0

Whilst I love it to bits  , My garmin 705 downloaded data does give strange readings on google maps. i.e going downhill one second I'm doing 49 mph the next 0.1 mph !!!! - great brakes !!!!.
Data on last ride showed max speed 39.2 but on graph peaks at 44 could be a certain time has to elapse to qualify.
But I wouldn't change especially as 3 bikes can be individually recorded.0 -

I personally like the Garmin 500 but have not used a 705 or 800. I think it is great. They have a feature which allows 1 second recording rather than smart recording which is probably why it's not as accurate as you think. Not sure if the 705 or 800 support this but ut was a new addition to the last firmware update for the 500.0
