Specialized QC Problem? (Secteur Comp 2010)

Have spent the night tinkering with my 2 month old Specialized Secteur Comp 2010, and I noticed that one of the cables seems not to be running as it should be, potentially leading to fraying and cable failure.
Look at the photos below. It's the gear cable to the front derailleur. It's very hard to photograph.
There is a groove where it runs, ending in a small "hoop" or tunnel, and after careful studying, I am 99% sure that the cable should run through the groove and then through the hoop.
As you can see, it does not. The outside edge of the hoop is sharp, and the cable is clearly stressed against it at this point. When the front gears are changed, the cable rubs against this sharp edge.
Could anyone else with this bike confirm how theirs runs?
Thoughts?
Is a letter to Specialized in order?
Am I wrong??!!

yes it should go through the hole. but as it is only plastic it wont do much damage to anything.
be in for its first service yet? mention it to them as there is a chance you will need a new cable."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

it should run through the cable carrier, and from those pics, it looks as though it has been fitted incorrectly. Simple enough job for DIY, or back to the shop if you would rather.....0

well done for spotting that - yes it should go through the hoop if that slips that will mess the shifting up on the front I would imagine, so just unclamp it and have a go at doing that yourself wont take long at all.0
