Hi all, i have no experience of disc brakes so bear with me. I have hayes stroker ryde brakes, problem is on the front brake one of the pads isnt springing back into its original position and the rotor is rubbing against it making a tinging sound and obviously slowing me down. I have had a look at a few guides but i'm still unsure about what to do. Any ideas what the best and easiest remedy is? My bike is a kona five o and is probably about 5 months old.

cheers

lift the front wheel of the ground and spin it.

is it slowing you down that much? some rubbing can be expected.

but to re align your caliper follow the info in the manual about slackening caliper mounting bolts and applying the brake and then tightening the bolts.

    also covered on Parktools.
"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
