Trek 1.5 to Cannondale Bad Boy

Hi,

I'm thinking of getting the Cannondale Bad Boy for commuting purposes. I can't stand the potholes anymore and even with carbon forks on the road bike I still haven't got used to it. Of course, I wear padded shorts.

Any there any other bikes worth considering? It'd help if it wasn't so heavy. This is mainly the reason I'm trying to avoid bikes with front suspension.

Any reason why you can't put wider tyres on? I seem to think that the 1.5 will take 25mm with 'guards, you should be able to run 28mm without.
