Altitude Training!

Maybe the 2 days of climbing around Durham/Northumbria was beneficial - good weather conditions here today but over a 40 miler on some of my regular routes I managed to nudge my AVS up to 19.9mph - pretty crap by a lot of you's standards, but 1.3mph better than ever before and felt like I was flying out and back, well pleased :D

    That's the plan, although tonight's excess of Warsteiner and Abbot Ale may scupper it :P

    Sure its not just training? From reading running literature, I always thought England's greatest altitude wasn't high enough to force physiological changes, hence why they all go overseas to 1500m above sea level?
