Did 55 by 10:30am, but I was slow! Just got up v early!
Oh, what a beautiful morning, what a beautiful day! Love the fact the start time is now only limited by what time you are willing to get out of bed. Bring on the summerSimon0 -
Managed to get 50 in today and took in the Cookoo Trail.I am now sitting here feeling wacked and knowing that I really do need to lose some weight because it took so long to do the 50.hondated0

I managed 25.
Was very hard with the heat and high winds up here in Lancashire.
Hopefully will break the 30 mile barrier soon0 -
Only did 30 miles today and it killed me, takes me a bit to get used to the heat! I do love it once im used to it, but its that first stage.... :?0

Only managed about 20 because of the heat. 100 miler in less than a month? What was I thinking?0

Weather fantastic - nice and warm here in South Hampshire. Although I've been riding for years I'd never done a century ride so me and the mrs went for it! Took about all day as we didn't want to kill ourselves in the heat but nice to have that one under the belt.Ecrasez l’infame0

Congratulations BelgianBeerGeek
I managed to get that under my belt several years ago so I know how hard it is.Having done it though I now cannot ever see me doing it again.
The comments about the heat yesterday were so true but where I was fortunate was that I was out on the road at 7.30am and most of my ride was tree covered.
Because it felt so hard I am now left wondering whether my ultimate aims of riding down through France are realistic.hondated0 -
Surely you can squeeze in ten more miles to make the 100?Pinno, מלך אידיוט וחרא מכונאי0

Cocked it up a little - we had to get a ferry over to Hythe from Southampton and because it was a bank holiday the firest one wasn't till 10am. We ended up cutting it short as we were runnig out of time but we did manage 75 miles in 4 hours 50 minutes. The weather was wonderful but a little headwind on the way home slowed us down slightly. Felt fine at the end and could have continued a little longer with no bother.
BelgianBeerGeek Are you doing the IOW randonee next week?0
