Cycling in Leeds?

Hi, I'm an American looking at getting my master's at the University of Leeds and I was just wondering what the cycling scene is like in the area- trails, shops, or anything else about the school or city.

Well there's Bob Jackson, arguably the best value steel frame manufacturers in the nation. Cycling in Leeds is pretty straightforward and not at all scary (at least for me), aided by the fact that it's pretty built up. But it's quite hilly in some parts, and you do run across some impatient tossers.

Don't know about the city centre but plenty of riding a bit further afield.
