Fork steering tubes

Hi,

Is it possible to get a fork steering tube replaced? I have (foolishly) bought a fork off ebay and the tube is too short to fit my bike.
The tube looks like its pressed in, so I'm assuming it can be replaced but I thought I'd ask here first to save a trip to my LBS.

Thanks in advance

homer

Unfortunately not, unless is bolted on (rare). New fork upper assembly, or new fork I am afraid.

They'll be going back on ebay then

    Thanks for that.

Tried the classifieds here first (no listing or selling fees!)
