 Please be aware that TriandRun.com has ceased trading but will still take your money.
The company folded in the last week of March 2011 BUT STILL took my order on the 12th of April 2011 and are STILL trading via the web shop. You won't see the goods.

Be Warned.

According to your title, they are in recievership and so perfectly entitled to carry on trading, if they are trading while insolvant that would be different, so which is it?

Why won't you see the goods?

If they are in receievership they probably haven't ceased trading.

Are you an idiot, or just trying to make sure they fail by scaring off potential customers for your own ends?

Hi Beginner, you're obviously the idiot.

I was just making the forum aware of a problem with a supplier who ceased trading, in March, (according to their Ansafone,) they then removed funds from my credit card three weeks later in April, but FAILED to supply the goods.

That's fraud. The web site is still trading, taking money, but supplying no goods which IS fraud and is illegal.

If you want to play semantics, you can go and buy as much as you like from Triandrun, but please try to spell correctly before gobbing off. No, I'm clearly not an idiot as I can spell receivership correctly; unlike you, who spells it "receievership".

Ipso facto, I rest my case.

    thanks for the headsup
i appreciate that the you have made forum members aware of the situation so that we can make an informed choice when dealing with them.
there have been too many companies in recent years which have fleeced members of the public in a similar manner (record shops selling gift vouchers at xmas but wont honour them - under receiver advice, xmas saving schemes, holiday companies leaving holiday makings stranded abroad and having to make their own way home etc etc)

Thanks for the warning, holiday companies have done the same and people have lost holidays and thousands, keep up the good work

Have you contacted your credit card company and asked to have the money taken back. It can be done. Its one of the benefits of using a credit card.

 Yes, I've made sure the credit card co. don't take the funds from my account thanks.

They were very efficient actually; which was a pleasant surprise.

So they aren't in receivership then, so your title was misinforming us of the situation.

Now you've made it clear which of the two situations it is, it is now actually a helpful post, its not semantics its a huge difference.

They don't display their company registration information in an easily accessible location on their website. So they aren't operating legitimately any way.

Companies House WebCheck appears to be open all day now.

    Closest there is:
    TRI AND RUN LIMITED
    THE OLD EXCHANGE
    234 SOUTHCHURCH ROAD
    SOUTHEND-ON-SEA
    ESSEX
    SS1 2EG
    Company No. 03916576

    Next Return Due: 28/02/2011 OVERDUE

    Which leads to:
    http://www.mandisinfo.com/ForSale.asp?ID=46006&ID2=6576

"Based upon this notification (04/04/2011) this company may enter Administration or Receivership, in which case the company, its intellectual property, web sites and other assets may become available for purchase."

Actually I wonder, do you / would you, blame the company or the administrators.

As this has happened so much in the past, whilst you could not stop or have control over a company going broke and still taking money wrongly, surely a change in the law so that the administrators would have to place a "visible" sign on the first and other pages would be sensible.

Perhaps people need to be more thoughful when being abusive on a forum, regardless of whether they are right or wrong, I would never call someone an idiot.

It was always a helpful post, you're just one of the minority of forum users that would rather comment and rubbish others input than write creative or informative posts.

You ought to get out on your bike more: if you do actually have one.

    I take it:
    >" Commuting as FCN8 using a home built hybrid based on a Carrera Gryphon frame.
    > MTB is a hardtail built around a Carrera Kraken frame" is long hand for I can't afford a decent one.

PS don't bother replying I've gone for a ride.

Thanks mate, from me. Ignore the others....

    Thanks Headhuunter,

This thread has gone on far too long anyway, so I'm gonna leave it to the talkers and bullsh*ters. But don't feel sorry for me, i don't need to list my bikes or their spec's, I actually know what I ride and it's certainly not a 2006 TCR. By the way are TCR's still made of angle iron?

On the other hand, Mathew H has a really good selection of quality bikes. Impressed.

    Ciao.

Oh by the way that's not an MTB groupset Stardude.
And I bet you own plenty of assorted Douches which you could also list.

Well to be honest, who gives a sh*t what you think, we cant all have super expensive bikes, or afford to change bikes every year or two.

I for one have no time for tw*ts or snobs like you who look down on people just because they don't have amazing expensive bikes.

Hahaha...got to laugh at this thread and some of the reactions on it.

Anyway, getting back to the point I'd say what happened is that they went into receivership or administration which absolves them of any commitment to their creditors except whoever brought in the receivers. There's generally a period during which time they could have taken your money but not sent out the goods and anybody caught in this will probably never receive anything until after the preferential creditors (read BANKS) have been paid. Whatever is left is then split.

However if they're still trading then it's the responsibility of the receiver to ensure that customers get dealt with. After it's gone into receivership it's a different legal entity and there is protection for any new creditors offered by the receiver.

The only thing is that they should advertise that they're in receivership and should have it posted so that you know, this doesn't seem to be the case.
