lighter,faster wheels

I ride a three year old giant SCR2 with a bontrager classics wheelset and no other upgrades. I've no doubt these have been pretty bomb proof on poor cotswolds lanes and roads but have a feeling I could shed weight on the bike with lighter, faster wheels, particularly on climbs where I 'm dropped more regularly than I like. Any suggestions within £200 or am I hoping for too much on what is an entry level bike. By the way I'm slightly built myself though need to build more fitness after much of the winter off the bike. Any suggestons to replace my conti ultragater treads would also be welcome.
