Swapping Cranks?

A collegaue has a Boardman Comp (Shimano 105 rear and Shimano Tiagra front derailleurs) with a 50/36 front ring which is a Truvativ (SRAM crank).

Question is can he put on the crank and front rings from a Boardman Carbon (SRAM Rival) to make it 50/34 at the front or just swap the front rings?

I am guessing he won’t need to adjust or re-index the gears if this is carried out?

Just fit a smaller inner chainring - nothing else to worry out!
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

you need the bottom bracket as well to fit it. otherwise it will work.

Both bikes already running Sram chainsets by the look of it so the BBs should be the same. No change needed.
