You'd think they would be with the fondant inside them. Any thoughts??

for a rapid energy release then yes itll work for short period. but its not healthy, and you'll get a massive energy drop very quickly. you want your energy to be release slowly and progressive throughout your ride so something along the lines of a banana would work better.
  • Fondant = crap sugar...
crap sugar = WAY too simple carbs
Simple carbs = peak then a crash
peak then a crash = a shit day out on a bike....

    No?

    EDIT:

hehe easter troll ftw =) well played sir!

But how the hell would you unwrap and eat one after an hour in your back pocket on a warm day it would have turned to goo, i ,ll stick to gels i think.

I'm new to "sports nutrition" really. I won a box of them in a quiz last night and I'm out on the bike tomorrow. Thought about putting a few in my frame bag for the day.

Not a good idea, sugar overdose aside, as stated, eating them on a hot day is messy, unless you eat the foil too.

I can't eat foil, I get a electrolytic/chemical reaction in my fillings that makes my head go funny.

No. I thought I'd test this as I was given a Creme Egg half an hour before I left work. Repeated the bloody thing the whole 15 miles home  :?

I know of the tin foil meeting filling moment too

I think I'd puke trying to eat a creme egg on a ride. Think I'd puke if I tried to eat a creme egg while sitting in an arm chair. Give them to some kids for Easter, get yourself some good chocolate and buy some bananas and eat them on your ride instead.

Creme eggs  are you 10?
