Novice - Bike lever slack

Evening peeps!
In trying to rectify a rear rubbing disc brake, I have now caused another problem.
When applying the rear brake, the lever needs to be pulled quite far into the grip before the brake activates (considerably further than the front).
What can I do to re-adjust the brake lever?
Oh, my brakes are Tektro Auriga Comp.
Kind Regards

edit. Forgot to mention that i've only had the bike just over a week, so hopefully I haven't done anything to serious.

adjust the lever reach.
see link to tektro manuals in the tech links sticky above,"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Just ride it - the pistons should set themselves.0
