After much arguing with Evans cycles (shocking customer service btw) they have finally agreed to give me a decent offer on a new wheel after mine twisted pretty bad.

Used to have an alexrim sx 44 on a norco hub

Now getting a hope pro 2 evo hub with a mavic ex721 for £60

Does that sound resonable?

    Yes not too shabby at all. IIRC the hubs are £50ish and while it's not the lightest rim, an EX721 is tough.
