Where can I buy some plain white cycling socks from ? All the ones I see either have some grotesque logo or other unwanted coloured embellishment.

Very nice, but in what way are those free from colour or logos??
Oops, my mistake. Must remember to read thread title next time. Still, I would say they are quite subtle and might be what the OP is looking for.
(And they are better than Rapha...)
