Hi all,
Today i went out on my first ride on my new specialized allez 24. Its totally different to my mountain bike which now feels like a tractor in comparisson.Although i only did 15 miles which i know to most people is nothing i am quite pleased with my self as before today i had only riden about a mile to work and back, so it really did feel like a long way to me. I need a bit of advice tho as i was riding i found my right leg/knee was very close to the top tube like they were bent inwards, which made them ache, i did try to adjust the cleat during the ride but didnt get much joy could some one give me a bit of advice on how to rectify this problem?

Thanks

Si

If you can (as you say you've already tried) adjust your cleats some more. Depending on the pedals you have you may need some cleats with more float - either that chop your leg off and stick it back on straight :D

Too big gears too soon? You often feel it in your right leg and not the left -the right being what you might call 'the leading leg', if you know what I mean.

To see what way your feet should be sitting on your pedals, sit on something high up and let your feet dangle naturally, the way your feet are pointing is the same way they want to be pointing when they are clipped in. Also having you saddle to high or too low can cause knee pain.
