Not at all happy - started on Friday night, felt worse every day since, went to the docs today & I have a throat infection which is now moving into my lungs
On the drugs now (penicillin & an inhaler if I need it) so hopefully it will start to clear it up pretty quickly but terrible timing...

I'm full of cold from yesterday so I (kind of) feel your pain.
Illness sucks.
What sucks even more is I will have got it from one of the fat lazy ****ers in my office who never excercise!0 -
Petre - have had the same symptons since Saturday, it stinks and the bloody weather is fantastic
Fat lazy ba*****s never get ill.0 -
You have my sympathies. I had this a couple of weeks back, and after trying to ride through it decided to do the sensible thing and stay off the bike for the five days I was on antibiotics. I was climbing the walls by the end but went out on day six regardless!Freelance Journalist

I've had man 'flu since last monday.
I thought I was OK for a ride on Friday so I went for a 10 mile pootle. By the time I got home it felt like I had raced 100 miles. I spent all of last weekend in bed and my bedroom had more used tissues in it than a teenage boy's bedroom after he discovered free online porn.
Today was my first day back on the bike since Friday and I did the 12 miles slowly and I now feel very tired.
Early night for me, methinks.FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future

Been dosing up on vitamin c to hopefully not get the traditional spring cold. Nothing worse than finally having warm evenings and being stuck in bed. Not rubbing it in fellahs
The vit c obviously works if I haven't got the sniffles :P0 -
Ooooooo I think I can hear the violin playing in the distance.

Thanks for all the sympathy - much appreciated.
Feel a bit better today but still not great. Discovered this morning that the back of my tongue is turning black - seems to be a symptom of the infection, from what I can discover. Very pleasant..
Enjoy the long weekend & the weather - don't worry about us sickies...0 -
