Gearing?

hey, im currently building a jump/street bike, im going to fit a single gear and im running a 24 tooth chain ring on my cranks, i want to fit a single rear chain ring but what size?, ive seen people running 16 tooth and right down to 12tooth and anything up to 20 tooth, but wats the best size? :roll:

by the way im using 26inch wheels

    looked at the SS FAQ in the FAQs? but a 24 front will restrict you too much for a jump bike.

    ok i'll check it out,, wat u mean restrict? what would you recommend?
