Some of you might have seen my Saddle Woes thread recently.
After further thought I wondered if Gel padded shorts would be of any benefit.
I see that Nalini & Endura make bib shorts with gel inserts; has anybody tried shorts like these & what are they like?

I have some Santini bibshorts with their gel insert, and I find them much more comfortable than their standard Coolmax pad. I find that the difference in comfort levels increases on the longer rides.

I have the Gore Xenon Sonic Bib shorts. They are so thin and light you hardly know you are wearing them, but very comfy.
Evans were doing them for £99 instead of £150

Seem a bargain for £40.. but time will tell. Should be ordering this week.

I think Shutt Pro Bibshorts use a gel pad - it is still a relatively thin pad but definitely comfy for me.

I have some Decathlon gel shorts and bib shorts, that have their competition gel chamois.

They are the most comfortable shorts I have.

    £45.

They are OK but the pad is quite bulky.

Google - Santinit Twist Gel. I have 4/5 pairs and they are the best shorts ever in my 25 years of beating up my sit bones.
Better than F1 mille for my tush but your MMV.

Any comments on the standard Lusso Pro version? (i.e. non gel)
    Thx

Gel padded shorts sound a great idea if the gel doesn't harden over time, like a gel saddle I had once.
