Following on from another thread can I have some advice please?

Should I get a CO2 pump that can take threaded and non threaded canisters or should I get a micro one (such as an air chuck SL) that takes threaded only?

I've been looking at http://www.tyreinflators.co.uk
Boardman Elite SLR 9.2S
Boardman FS Pro

Unthreaded are slightly cheaper but the pumps include a container for the cannister. This adds a little bulk and a few more grams. On the other hand the threadless ones can be a little easier to use if you are not used to them eg risk of fingers sticking to the cannister in use because it gets very cold. I now use mainly my unthreaded one becuse of the valuable space saving.

I use threaded with the micro end adaptor. Works fine and I hope not to use it enough for the cost differential to be important.

Threaded 16's get my vote. Like the one you reference. Hint - ALWAYS take two CO2
canisters along. It's not a prefect world out there. I would even go so far as to recommend using a couple of canisters as practice before you rely on them on a ride. Kind of a so you'll know what to expect type of thing. Learning to use something like this out on the road is not the best of ideas.
