Guys,

If I go 34/50 and 12-25 on Camapg Veloce, can I get away with a short rear mech, or do I need a medium?

Cheers,
FJ

so does that mean you can you use a short cage with 39/53 and 13/29?

I've currently got a 13/29 on with a 50-34. Haven't got round to putting a longer chain on (having swapped from 11/25) and it seems to cope! Whether it could handle another 3 teeth on the big ring I wouldn't like to guess but I suspect it would be pushing things a little!

I might have missed this, but I don't think anyone's asked you what gears you use on the Joey.

What gears do you use ?

What's your comfortable gear trundling along on the flat ?

What's your gear & rpm or speed at your fastest speed that you keep up on the flat for 10, 20 minutes or longer ?

Do you do any other sports ? Cross-country ? Fell running ? Swimming ?
