    How nice and refreshing to see properly dressed people riding bicycles in the sun and getting lots of pleasure, without a trace of carbon, lycra or helmets. It might be considered a sort of reconquest of civilisation, a triumph of humanity over "progress"
    Interesting how many relate vintage in bicycle terms to the 70's, when the clothing and the spirit belong more to the post-war period.

    I know there were a couple of helmets to disturb my dream but I wouldn't hold that against an obviously worthwhile event. How I wish I had been there!!
