Hi all,
I am after a Mountain Bike, and have been looking a this bike that is on this forum -

Is it possible to add Disc Brakes to this model?
Also how much would it cost.. as it is a good price, wouldnt mind paying a bit to upgrade..
Cheers,
Danny

well new wheels would be needed but the frame and fork have disc mounts.
you may also need new gear shifters."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

New brakes, wheels/discs and shifters will add a min of £200, probably more like £300. Is it worth it? I'd stick to the V's or look at a bike with discs.I don't do smileys.

Given the cost of the parts you want to change, you would probably be far better off with spending the extra 300 on getting a bike with better spec overall that already has discs. Should improve general performance decently over that bike then upgrading just to get disc brakes.0
