Cassette compatibility...

I have an SRAM cassette on my Fury and wish to put my wheel set including rear cassette and rear disk on to a bike I'm building up with shimano alivio gear sets... Is this compatible or will I need a shimano cassette ?

    as long as the speeds as the same there are no issues.
