Frame and seatpost arrived, nearly mint, just need a good clean and grease for the headset

Now the build starts by taking everything off my 2007 CR1 PRO 2007:

Fulcrum 3 wheels with Krylion tyres
Easton EA70 stem. Bought a new EA70 Aero bar from a shop on eBay as managed to crack the old Spesh comp carbon one (~40% off CRC/ Wiggle prices)
Ultegra 6600 shifters and brakes
Ultegra 6600 front mech
Ultegra 6700 rear mech
Ultegra 6750 compact crankset
11-28 Ultegra cassette
Selle Italia Maxflite airfloe gel (white, sort of)
Ordered a new Easton white bar tape and will need a couple of new gear cables

Looks like an (almost) straight forward job. Just need to find the time!!!

Will post pics as I progress and when done. then clean the CR1 and put it up for sale. It's a great looking 54cm so if anyone's interested let me know 8)

Starting to look like a bike now, only stuff left to do is:

    New chain (SRAM PC1070)
    Adjust gears
Adjust bars and shifters and then wrap with new tape

Small issue with the seatpost as it came without the bottom half of the saddle clamp...so ignore the RaceFace post as I've only fitted it so I can lean the bike against the wall:-)

BTW found out the 26.8mm fits nicely..measured the post that came with the frame and it is also 26.8mm? Is it not supposed to be 27.2mm?

    Job done!

Took it for a 10 minutes flight. Bars/ stem/ seatpost/ saddle and also the front mech need a bit of fine tuning but overall it feels great! Definitely smoother than the CR1 without feeling softer or heavier.

Haven't weighed it yet as my scales are not really accurate but I reckon about 7.5-7.6Kg with the pedals, bottle cages and the VDO computer

The post is a RaceFace Next 26.8mm (full carbon) taken from my MTB. I'm looking for an Easton EC70 or EC90 with no setback and to match the bars+stem and to be in the correct size.

Pedals are XTR, same ones as on my MTB. I like the extra float and the fact I can use the same shoes and winter boots on both bikes

    Questions/ comments are welcome!

lush ! bet she flies :D

be careful running a smaller diameter seatpost though...your need to tighten it more so be careful not to damage the frame doing it ! EC90 would sort that a treat....just sold one ..shame would have suited yours perfectly !

    Happy riding
