I had a bike fit 2 weeks ago and it was the best 85 quid I have ever spent based on 2 wheels. Everyone is saying get a bike fit because they have had one and as a result understand the value of this process. A few pics just does not cut it, my fit took 2 hours and he went through everything, the result:

Quicker
more efficient
no pain

so in summary ....get a bike fit

(You've got a litespeed you can afford the fit!)

probably too far away from you but I'm sure Napd's recommendation is of a similar ilk.

Couldn't agree more. I went to Epic Cycles for my fit. Cost £75 but that was taken off the price of my new bike. The process took around 3 hours including a test ride. When I picked up the new bike it was set up ready for me. Been riding it for about a month now and its great. No tinkering necessary.

In my opinion a bike fit is a very good investment. Perfect fit is something I never acheived before.

I'm seriously considering a bit fit myself. A slight deterent is the price though; I've been quoted £120 (specialized store in Stafford) but it will probably be worth the expense.

My bike fit at Epic cost me nothing and the one at my LBS (Phil Corley) was £ 35.
I do not know why one needs to pay more.

Mine was with ex pro Adrian Timmis at www.cadencesport.co.uk

Spent a good 3 hours with me, diagnosed a leg length discrepancy and tracking issues, dealt with it using shims. The moulded footbeds that come with it are a revelation.
No joint pain anymore, mega comfort and an increase in power, smashing!

Speshsteve, have you been able to get on his website lately ? Is he still going ?

I've been trying to get on there for the last week with no success.

Anyone else had any luck with his website.

Been thinking about getting a bike fit but didn't want to make any changes just prior to the EtapeCaledonia, so will continue as i am and do it at some point after Sunday
Me struggling up Mont Ventoux for the first time! Done it 3 times since (each way up) without stopping. This seems like a lifetime ago! http://img208.imageshack.us/i/snapshot2 ... 45552.tif/
