Carrera Subway 1 or Carrera Subway Ltd

I was just wondering about the reliability and durability of the hubs on both the carrera subway 1 and subway ltd, as I require a new bike asap, and as I work for halfords I get a 15% discount on top of the current sale prices, so they work out being the cheapest I could have bought either. the subway ltd has quando hubs and the subway 1 has formula hubs, I can apriciate that the frames are different types of aluminium, the subway 1 is 7005 and the subway ltd is 6061 and the subway 1 has a sram drivetrain and v brakes and the subway ltd has a shimano drivetrain and alivio disc brakes. I just don't have the time to go searching for a used one, also I am reqtricted to a budget of £250 - £300 as I am a student and as both of these would work out around £190 - £210 they would fit in nicely. Again I just wondered which people thought was better from their expirence, as I know it is a halfords bike, but I have never had any expirence riding them myself, only test riding around the car park, and just wondered what they are like in the long term. Is there anything better out their for the money.

The Ltd is the better specced bike.

Nothing wrong with Formula hubs though.

My 1st bike when i got back into commuting was a subway 1 and i found it fairly bomb proof and used it to commute 10 miles each way .
Great as it could take racks + mudguards etc to make it an all weather commuter.

The limited is a better specced machine and i would go with that given a choice, i have both 7005 ali + 6061 bikes and the 6061 feels aq nicer ride.
