wobble/bump in wheel

my back wheel is well bumpy when hitting the slightest rocky surface.my mate has true'd the wheel+tightened the spokes,but it still seems the same.also chain +brakepads need replacing,has any1 any ideas what is causing it?

    I think you're going to need to be a bit more specific.

    As for parts needing to be replaced, it happens, chains, cassettes, chainrings, jockey wheels, bearings and brake pads are consumable items, they wear out and need replacing.
  • i was just wondering if that could be related to the problem(the old chain mainly)but its just uncomfortable,the back end is bumping about over the slightest thing ,cant really be more specific! .it could possibly be the new tyre ive put on,i'll try refitting it..

    sounds like you're complaining that the back end of the bike is a bit lively? Hardtail or Full Sus? If hardtail let some air out of the rear tyre. If full sus turn the rebound down slower if you can
