Mavic Ksyrium Equipe or DT Swiss R1700 - a wheel choice

I'm in the fortunate position of just having ordered a Storck Scenero (Ultegra build). I have the lovely but challenging choice of Mavic Ksyrium Equipe or DT Swiss R1700 wheels. Please advise, as my experience is limited!

WAIT!!! I know of the issue Storck are having with supply at the moment and to be honest DT's are nicer wheels, and if u have had to wait a period of time for the bike...a little while longer wont hurt and you will defo be rewarded!0

Thanks for the advice. There shouldn't be any delay on my Storck Scenero, as I managed to get my name on a 59 that's due in the country in 1-2 weeks. Also, it's one reason why I took the Ultegra build, as it was available whereas the 105 wasn't (certainly not at the price of £1999 that figured in the CP Bike of the Year report - they're now £2119 when you can get one).0 -
So you have ordered the Ultegra build for the same money as you would pay for the 105, or did you get charged the upgrade price?
OP - Concerning the wheels I only have experience of Ksyrium SLs which I have been riding for the past seven years, with only a rear broken plastic axle outer broken - and easily repaired. I don't know about the lower Mavic wheels have to say. DT wheels have a good reputation as far as I know, so I would go with those.0 -

If only! The Ultegra build is £2660.
OP: Replies received so far, together with advice from LBSs, shows a fairly equal split of opinion for Mavic & DT. Maybe this should be expected. I still have time to decide, so more opinions are still welcome!0 -
I was gonna say ... but I myself was going to order the Scenero as a spare bike you see, and thought it good value. I would have gone for the DTs personally.0

Just had delivery of a set of Mavic Ksyrium Equipe. First ride i was really impressed.
Massive improvement over the Shimano RS10s normally on the bike. Then tried them on the Canyon where I normally run R-Sys Premiums.
Again impressed. Good acceleration although not as stiff as the R-Sys but that is to be expected.
I really wouldn't say the big price difference between the two is vastly shown in performance.0
