Has anyone had dealings with an internet site called: Prescription SunGlasses UK or PSUK

It's just that I can save a few quid rather than going to a highstreet outlet.

Thanks

Not used them, but can recommend these guys with the same or cheaper pricing.

Have had 3 pairs from them over the years and can't fault them.

Many thanks, anyone else have any comments please
  • +1 For rx sport, I have just bought a pair of rudy projects from them, only glasses I can get for my prescription. Great service, trial pairs of glasses, and quick turnaround, good customer service as well, used a combination of phone and web.

Another one for RX. Just ordered prescription Varifocals with transition lenses for my Half Jackets £230 Expensive as just for the Lenses, but well chuffed with them.

These people were highly recommended to me - I haven't taken the plunge, but the chap who recommended them bought a pair of jawbones with prescription lenses and was delighted with them.

I have used and would recommend http://www.eyewearbrands.com

They are a proper shop (in Bolton) as well as a nicely priced website.

    Apologies

I have just realised that the resounding recommendation I made earlier failed to insert the website which differs from the earlier suggestions.

A bit late, but here it is:

Thankfully both places are charging near identical prices!

It may be worth looking on www.ciliaryblue.com and get in touch with them to see if they can fit lenses in the Oakley frames for you. They're usually about half the price of other places for lenses.

There are lots of differing styles of Oakely cycling specific sunglasses. Is anyone in a position to discuss the relative merits of the different designs?

    Re Rowman

I've got some Jawbones, and what I like about them is that the top lens line is quite high, and this is good when your on the drops with your head down a bit and looking forward (if you know what I mean), you don't get the frame in the way blocking your view.

    Hope that makes sense !

Mine are transition as well, which is a bonus if I'm out late and the light starts to fade. Plus I can use them out on the MTB trails,as they are good in the lowish light in the forests (Llandegla for example).

Regarding the transition lens, do they work well, good point with regards to MTB, end up in a world of hurt going in blind, so to speak. I was thinking more of wearing them during the winter months as well as sumer, I notice you can buy other lens, (looking at the split jacket myself) however they are costly and if the transition work well that would save some money.
  • I have transitions in my Flak Jackets and normal lenses in my Split Jackets.

Big fan of the Transitions but they are far from perfect, they work on UV light so even on what appears to be a very overcast and dull day they still appear dark, that said I have worn mine all through winter and work perfectly in the evening, but won't react quickly to going through shaded areas under trees etc. Overall very versatile and if I had one pair of lenses only they would be my first choice. I wear mine everyday if on my bike going to work and back and on any rides when its not full on sun !

Also when abroad last year then they didn't seem dark enough, so will be getting a lens set a bit darker than Fire Iridum that are in my Split Jackets at the moment before this years trip to the sun.
