Freehub need service/replacing?

Hi.
I have Easton XC II wheels on my SS bike, and if I decide I'm going to ride my geared bike and don't ride the SS bike for a week or two the freehub stiffens. If left for a couple of weeks and I try to back pedal it's relatively stiff and needs a bit (not a lot) of force to free it.
Does the freehub need servicing/maybe replacing?
