Little girl went to bed at 9.30 last night so we thought we were in for a rare Saturday sleep in...6.45 she runs in to our bedroom full of energy. Noooooooo. Why can't kids sleep in?

Full day of gardening for me, despite the glorious weather. Booooo. Still, gardening outside is better than painting inside.

I think it came about as I voted Tory at the general election and I do not agree with some policy decision, so I thought the best way to make a difference is to become an active voice within the party. No I've woken up the whole idea seems a lot of effort and I'd rather just sit on the sofa and sob.

Oh it has, it's been all over the US publications today. and of course, all over the poker forums since about 5 seconds afer it happened.

You have to understand though, unless you're a poker player in the US, or work for one of the affected companies, it's not really "big" news. For all countries other than the US, it's pretty much busniess as usual.

Just annoying they felt the need to do it on a Friday afternoon approaching peak weekend traffic. They could have at least waited for Monday morning then we'd not all have to give up our weekends. BIoody inconsiderate US govt.
