Been watching some Oakley Jawbones on eBay, the listings all say 100% original etc but I can't find out if you can actually buy Oakley Jawbones with Livestrong that aren't black/yellow?

I'd be inclined to say they are just the normal Oakley Jawbones and not the Livestrong edition because the only difference is the colour scheme. Could be an honest mistake... who knows? Why don't you contact the seller and say you could've sworn the livestrong edition only comes in black and yellow.

Thanks, am on the case, its the fact that the Livestrong livery is imprinted on some of them that worries me.

The whole Livestrong brand is based around the yellow of the Tour. Why would they bring out a limited edition that's white and red?

More importantly, why would you want to wear such a fugly pair of shades like the Jawbones in the first place?

I have a pair in black yellow purchased from my local store though was going to buy them directly.

This is from the official website http://www.oakley.com/search?Ntt=Livestrong which only has the standard colours of black/yellow in different styles.

They look like a standard pair in custom colours colours?

The seller has some good feed back and is also selling a version in black/white which has some "official" looking info http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OAKLEY-JAWBONE-LI ... 500wt_1156

Don't want to accuse the seller of passing off fakes, not until I hear back from Oakley but enough alarm bells rang for me to pull out and all credit to the guy, he refunded me straight away.

I'm still not convinced, its the Livestrong logo that is suspicious & was particularly worried when I found out how easy it is to get fakes covered with the Livestrong logo with all the 'official' paperwork from China!

Anywhoo, think I'll stick with kelsens advice! Should get some Oakleys better suited to cycling and running anyway.

The thing that worries me is that they're described as 100% orignal. What? As opposed to 85% original?

Not sure why you'd want livestrong editions anyway, given the yellow wrist bands are about the equivalent of a c*ckring for cyclists, i'm not sure what the glasses are?

My prescription is Sphere -3.25 Cylinder -1.25 (So a total of -4.5) in the right eye and Sph -1.75 Cyl - 2.5 (Total 4.25) in the left so not as bad as yours.

Give Simon at extreme eyewear in castleford a ring. My prescription was outside the range for genuine oakley lenses but I he sorted me out with some bollé photochromic lenses for my jawbones.

Congratulations, you're about as blind as I am. I went for Adidas Evil Eyes (stupid, stupid name) with prescription inserts in the end, as they were the only ones that could fit my prescription in. You won't find single-glazed lenses that fit in the Jawbones and give you anywhere near that level of correction; it's just too much light-bending.

I got mine from RX Sport. I've recommended them before and I really rate their service. You'll have to give them a call (do so!) because that prescription will be outside specification.

It'll be expensive though: I'm looking at replacing mine post-crash because I really struggle without sunglasses, and the total cost is going to be around 400 GBP. I usually buy normal glasses online for around 100 quid...
Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.

Back on topic briefly, Oakley have confirmed that such a model does not exist and they are fake!
