im wanting to upgrade my 6700 Ultegra front derailleur to dura ace 7900. i have a band on derailleur at the mo can i buy a braze on dura ace and just fit it to my clamp/band thats already on the bike ???

NO, different fitting. The band doesn`t come off the mech.

The real question is why would you want to upgrade a working front mech from Ultegra to Dura Ace. The performace improvement and weight saving per ££ has to be one off the smallest possible in terms of upgrade!

bling factor and full spec of dura ace as half and half at the mo. just like you would buy a skoda instead of a vw because its cheaper. when the vw is nicer
