Just curious to how many people are doing this?

It's my first sportive really - I ride a lot, and have ridden TT's, just never done a sportive!

Oooh, thanks for the reminder. Might do the MTB route. I've done the road one a couple of times. Not helping themselves by making the route so hard to get (Trailzilla has just locked my computer up!) but otherwise well organised and fun.

I do much of the road route as part of my commutes and weekend rides so I won't pay for that again but the MTB routes I don't know. Well worth doing the long route - it is hard but not excessively so and you miss out on the best scenery (it goes properly into the Dales) and most challenging climbs if you don't.
