Hi there ive got an on one 456 frame that i'm currently building up and wanted to know what the benefits of going tubeless were? I was looking at merlin at hope pro's with a flow rim and dt comp spokes would you recommend anything else? The wheel will need to be strong as i intend to start doing bigger drop offs etc. Also will the the 456 take a rear axle or is it just qr? Sorry for so many question judt want to make sure i make the best decisions i can cheers.

Millions and millions of threads on here with pro's and con's - try a search (Google with Bikeradar in the search works better than the forum search function).
    Summary
    Pro - fewer punctures, maybe.
    Con - hassle, maybe.

I have that exact front wheel. I run a maxxis minion on the front, set up tubeless using the Stans yellow tape, olympic valve and sealant. I followed the videos on the stans website and fould the whole procedure very straight forward, been running it for 6 months now without any problems and no p*******s. I also have a Mavic XM719 rim on the back which I converted using a stans rim strip, originally with a Panaracer Fire XC pro which was a pain in the arse and had lots of problems burping air, changed it to an Ardent 2 months ago and not had any problems since. I'd suggest sticking with the tyres recommended on the Stans website (Maxxis are, Panaracer aren't) if you aren't using UST or tubeless ready tyres.

As for the frame, it will take a 10mm bolt through rear axle or a standard QR.

I run those rims hope pro 2 with stans flow rims front and back. the pro2 are avg hubs, but the flows are bomb proof and not that heavy. I run a mix of tubeless ready and tubed tyres but always with tubes.

I'm on my third bike equipped with Bontrager rhythms and with the exception of a dodgy freehub body on my current Rhythm Pro's they have been excellent, before that I ran notubes kit on a mavic 717 and that was also a joy, got it inflated at home with a track pump and never looked back. Yet to try a notubes rim. I use Bontrager AC/X or XR4 2.35 TLR tyres in the winter, Maxxis Crossmark 2.25 LUST's for intermediate riding (now) and the discontinued Jones XR Team Issue (replaced by the XR1) when the trails are baked hard.

The only time I run tubes is when I'm desperate!
