hello,
im new(ish) to the biking world,
quite recently i bought a rockhopper 2007 m4 disc off a friend of mine, here's the spec,I'll list whats left of the original bike first,hop-ups second..
M4 black alloy frame
Rock shox Tora 302 SL frorks with lock-out (100mm)
Shimano Deore M530 front & LX rear derailleurs.
Shimano Deore shifters SL M511
Shimano FCM 442-8 chain set
Specialized gel seat.
Hop-ups
Race face Deus XC alloy seat post
Race face Deus XC alloy 4-bolt stem
Race face Deus SL carbon fibre bars
Race face grips and chainstay pad
Mavic cross ride disc wheels
Maxxis Ignitor tyres (26x2.1) with HD tubes
(all Hope parts are anodised red)
Hope alloy seat post clamp
Hope alloy skewers front/back
Hope alloy stem doctor
Hope alloy bar ends (protects the ends of the carbon bars)
Hope M4 brakes (limited edition), CNC'd brake levers and master cylinders,
floating rotors,200mm front/180mm rear with alloy carriers,
CNC'd calipers with CNC mounts (IS) and braided lines.
Eastan cully platform peddles
Cateye micro wireless comp.
I think thats it.
i have noticed that the springs are way to firm for my weight, i have been able to only get a maximum of 50% travel and thats when riding on really rough stuff. i have looked around and i was not able to find anyone who stocks springs for the 2007 tora's; will the current 2010 springs work or shall i just save up and upgrade to some nice rockshox sids?
thanks

That's a very nice bike you have there. All the red Hope parts finish it off nicely.0

Looks good.
Question though...do you not lose teeth every time you touch the front brake lever?0 -

It certainly looks nice but if it was my money I'd have spent more on the forks and wheels rather than the bling!0

This bike was built to look good by the previous owner as apposed to perform well0

I'd change that 200mm front disc rotor to 180 or 160 as 200 is rediculous size for a bike like that, those toros won't endure alot of that much stopping power,When in doubt go flat out! My steeds below:
