Well its been a while but time for a numpty question.
last nights ride i started losing the rear brake, so before going out tonight i set about tightening my cable and the nut has eaten through the thread and rendered my rear brake useless.
i need to replace the whole calliper, so the question is are they standard size fits all or are v brakes as frame specific as disc mounts????

avid digits are good i got mine on rockhopper and tbh stop as good as a pair of disc brakes.
though be warned the replacements can be costly around £18 pound for a set....
and none of the discount shops ie CRC,wiggle ect sell them from what i seen only the high street places ie halfords/evan cycles so can be exspencive.London2Brighton Challange 100k!

You should be able to find a good set of single digits plus some speed dial levers on Ebay or Retrobike for £20-£25.I don't do smileys.
