Had a realy annoying click every revolution of the pedals, took the pedals off(shimano spd) and put on some non clip ones and the noise went.
Played about with the pedals, oiled etc and now it seems to be ok.
All the time i thiught it was the gears/chain set.
I took the plate from the top of the pedals and replaced it.
Does anyone have a similar problem, hope this will help
cheers

Lol, it's nice when these noises turn out to be nothing.

I was getting my bike ready in the garage on Monday evening, I lifted it from where it was sitting and there was a horrible squeek from headset area, bugger I thought... Turned out to be just two of the cable housing rubbing together... :P

Clicking when pedalling is caused by the threads of either the pedals or the bottom bracket cups.

Tightening the pedals or the BB cups may fix it. Failing that, remove and apply anti-seize grease to the threads.
