Sram Rival Rear Mech Question -
I was tinkering with my bike last night as I was getting a bit of gear slippage and thought I needed to adjust the rear mech – by twisting the barrel adjuster
However the cable had come out of its guide and was loose – so I put it back and the gear shift problem has gone away – good news
However I couldn’t resist having a little look at the barrel adjuster anyway – but I couldn’t get it to budge
It was locked up solid – no adjustment was possible
Anyone else had an issue?
Any ideas on how to free it up?
Thanks

Undo the cable again and pull out the barrel adjuster. the adjustment is done via a screw which has probably got stuck in place.
Take the screw off, clean the parts up, regrease and put back togetherTri Coaching
